NASA and The USPTO announce an agreement to engage in tech transfer and commercialization

According to the United States Patent and Trademark Office, on December 19, 2024, The United States Department of Commerce’s Patent and Trademark Office (“The USPTO”) and The National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (“NASA”) Space Technology Mission Directorate (STMD) announced a collaboration via a five-year Memorandum of Understanding “to promote and advance innovation through technology transfer and commercialization opportunities.” 

The Memorandum of Understanding should further the 2022-2026 Strategic Plan of The USPTO. The Strategic Plan can be accessed at United States Patent and Trademark Office: 2022–2026 Strategic Plan.
