The Federal Register, which is the Daily Journal of the United States Government, recently published a new Executive Order signed by President Donald J. Trump on May 19, 2026.
The Executive Order acknowledges that “[l]ow-dollar cross-border funds transfers have been used to facilitate or commit terrorist financing, narcotics trafficking, human trafficking, and other illegal activity.”
The Executive Order confirms that it is the policy of the current Administration to, inter alia, “deter fraud and abuse.”
The Executive Order is given number 14406 and is titled “Restoring Integrity to America’s Financial System.”
