“U.S. Legal Practice: Practical Guide Civil Law and Public Law” was edited by Kirk W. Junker who is a professor of law at the University of Cologne, Germany, where he is Chair of U.S. American Law.  At Cologne, he is also Director of the International Master of Environmental Science Program.  He acts as coordinator of international programs for Duquesne University School of Law.  Prior to joining Cologne, he was associate professor of law and director of international programs at Duquesne University School of Law.  His previous academic career includes teaching both at the Open University and the Queen’s University of Belfast in the United Kingdom and Dublin City University in the Republic of Ireland.  He was an assistant counsel to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources, and clerked for the Honorable James E. Rowley of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania.  He received a B.A. from The Pennsylvania State University, a J.D. from Duquesne University, a Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh, and held a postdoctoral fellowship with the Justice Ministry of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
